Contemporary Quilt is a special interest group within the Quilters’ Guild. Members are a diverse collection of quilters and textile artists, working at the cutting edge of their practice, creating innovative and dynamic art. CQ’s mission is to continue to push the boundaries and be excited by the possibilities of new materials, new techniques and new ideas.
This exhibition celebrates ‘Diversity’. Diversity both in making which is not bound by limits or conventions but thrives on exploration and experiment, but also diversity in inspiration which has been drawn from sources such as the natural world, family and society and world cultures.
